Your Team Already Uses AI. Here's What the AI Act Actually Asks
On 2 August the transparency rules of the EU AI Act started to apply. Not a ban — a set of rules about telling people when they're looking at AI.
This video declares itself: the avatar and the voice are synthetic, and you're told so while you watch.
What I keep repeating to comms teams here in Brussels:
→ Your team is already using these tools. In press releases, in briefings, in translations. → The AI literacy obligation, Article 4, has been in force since February 2025. It applies to whoever uses AI, not only to whoever builds it. → Transparency, Article 50, applies from 2 August 2026.
I put the practical part into a 2-page playbook: what to declare, where to declare it, and the exact wording to use.
